My Baby is 14 today

My sweet Matthew turns 14 today. Where has the years gone. Just yesterday he was at Mrs. Angie's preschool, now he is headed to high school. This time next year he will be driving.He will kill me when he sees the pictures I have posted but that is one of the perks of being a parent.

Date Night & Recital

Finally a DATE NIGHT.

We went to the movies it was fun to just get away.

I am late posting this because in a few short days it will be date night again, but it just may be at a baseball game.

Matthew on Sunday at his annual piano recital. It did perfect.His fingers are so light I don't think they even touched the keys. We are very proud of him.

Titus 2 Tuesday's

Tuesday is dedicated to those we have been inspired from like in the scriptures of Titus 2. Go read it today.

Today I speak of my friend Susan. She is my counselor and my listener, my sholder to lean on.Quick overview of how wonderful God can make a person. Susan lost a child soon after giving birth, many years ago, then not long after her son left for college years later he was at a lake and had a accident and drown.

You talk about some strength, this woman has it. She will tell you she only gets it because of God and I know that to be true after loosing a child myself. She taught me to rely on God for everything because He is where it all comes from.

No matter your situation no matter how bad it is or how small you think it is are you relying on God? Do you ask God to help you with the big things because you can handle the little ones? I have started letting God help me with it all.......I sure am less stressed let me tell you. I have never felt a peace that felt this good. It all has to come from God.She has so much grace.

I only told you a small piece about my friend Susan, there is sooooo much more but you get the point. She really inspires me to grow and be a better lady for the Lord. This world is temporary folks.

I wrote on Gerry's truck, Mom said wash me.....He is in Amarillo with friends today. He's gonna kill me when he see this. It's great being a parent.

We are headed out to Wichia Falls today for Matt's Orth appmt. He gets his braces today. He is a little excited I think. I promise I will post pictures of his pretty mouth as soon as we get back. I have to get some shopping in too you know. Can't wait to get to the book store.....

As May 11th passes again, I am wrapped up in my thoughts of our child in Heaven EMMA. I had a tubal pregnancy 2 years ago.........................(Amy H is so right this blogging is good therapy) ok back on track. They though I had passed the fetus(my child) and did a D &C, she was still in my tube. 2 days later I am bleeding internally the tube had ruptured. I got to ride in an ambulance to Lubbock, where I arrived in the best of care. The Dr. explained he would have to go in and remove both if my tubes, no more baby making or it could be critical. We were ok with that. In to surgery I go and I am really fixin to get to my point and the title.



As I am lying in a holding room for surgery ALONE.....not even a nurse.



I begin to pray. Lord I know any surgery has risk one being death. I am at peace and I am willing to go if it is your will. I have never been at more peace than at that moment. I hear a voice, yes the voice of God. He said.......I AM NOT DONE WITH YOU YET...............I will never forget those words the rest of my life. you ever slow down enough to here Him?



Some of you know I am director of a pregnancy crisis center, where I have the opportunity everyday to share the gospel with our clients. I have spoken many times at schools and conducted many abstinence programs. (sidenote-available to any schools) I have looked at life and what I do for God each day since then. Is He using you? He could if you slowed down to hear His voice. I urge all of you to pray that everyday God would use you to Glorify His name...........



This earth is just temporary, what will your legacy be? I want to get the gospel to as many as possible and God IS USING ME...............

Titus 2 Tuesday's

Using Titus 2 to post about women who have inspired us.
This week was a hard week and I struggled with who has inspired me.I have so many to choose from once I sat down to think about it. So I decided to ask God which to use. He said"Sharla M" so Mrs. Tippett you'll have to tell her to read these because she isn't into the blog scene.Thanks.

Sharla M. Where do I start. God brought us together through a bad situation. You see Sharla had cancer, with not a good future. We took food to her family and we called and checked on them. Soon Sharla's cancer scare was over and she is cancer free. We started going to church together, hanging out , and were like 2 families put into one.We were joined at the hip you might say. People though we were sisters(which would have been ok) For a few years we never went a day with out speaking, now we go months. Funny how things turn out.

What inspires me about Sharla is she is VERY strong, in her mental strength and her faith God would heal her. She never doubted, even If I did. She kept our church running on faith. It was an exciting time, still is. She is the kind of person who if she can will do anything for you, she inspires me to be that way too.

My faith is stronger because of Sharla, so thank you Sharla for that.
I think God gives us friends in seasons and when we need them and then one day it changes. God always knows what we need when we need it.
Sharla and I will always be friends no matter the season . I love you girl.

it's a small post

Well I am up , showered and dressed for my Friday job.Yes it is different than my M-TH job. I love Fridays. I am very excited this time because we postponed our anniversary celebration until tonight. So fun, fun and off for a night on the town, after work of course. Did I say I love Fridays????Date pictures will soon follow. Happy Weekend .

Today I celebrate 15 years with his one hunk of a man. Just look at him. WOW!

Where do 15 years go? Here are 15 top things I love about Kyle. Not in any particular order.

1. He loves me no matter what I do or say.

2. He is the most honest man I know.

3. He loves the Lord with all his heart, soul & mind.

4.He love his boys.

5. He stands beside me no matter the cause.

6.. He is my safeguard, my protector,my provider, my husband.

7.His heart is the like a vault and will always hold our love.

8.He is my rock, he listens,he advises.

9. He would do anything for me and his family.

10. He never thinks I am crazy when I come up with new decorating ideas,

he just says:'"what do you need me to do"

11. He makes me laugh.

12.He is tender hearted not to just his family but to others in his path.

13. He goes where God leads,& we have never gone the wrong road.

14. He is the man of my dreams & answered prayers, you see I prayer for a good man and

God sent Kyle a short 2 months later.

15. He was brave enough to marry me on Friday the 13th of May, 1995

and we have never once looked back.

With all that has gone on in our community with the breaks of marriages, I am thankful and blessed to know loosing Kyle is never an option for me.

Kyle I love you so much and words can not express what you mean to me and our boys.

Monday, Monday

I really would rather be in my pj's right now curled up with a good book , snuggled back into my bed,but I am sure God has bigger plans for me today. Don't you just wish sometimes He would tell us ahead of time what they were?I promise I would try and back out of doing them?????? or would I? I really want to be a good servant but than stinkin satan is so sneaky.

Like this morning I have just been praising God for the rain and the sounds of thunder, and get to wal-mart and the attack is on......As I wait in line in the customer service dept. this guy come in from outside steps in front of me like I wasn't even there. The nerve. Whips his checkbook out and well you can imagine my face.....I said not one word....He then turns around apparently feeling the darts from my eyes and says I'm not cutting in line I had to run out and get my checkbook I forgot to bring it in.He was already being waited on before I got there.All I could do was smile.I felt God's discipline at that moment.t doesn't feel good.

Why do we let our guard down so easily? I mean satan said" well she's a little to much into the Lord today so let me see how fast I can make her angry, this should be funny.Oh it took me 2 seconds, new record for her.woohoo".

After I prayed for repentance, I decide I better start choosing how I think about things a little more carefully. God Bless & Happy Monday

I will never forget this post. It is # 87 and last night I honored to meet these wonderful women. God works in funny ways doesn't he? I met all 3 of the ladies in the pic below through their blogs. One thing lead to another and I got to meet them in person last night at a ladies outing at the FBC. Little did we know Jerri Anne and I were getting out hair cut at the same time, in the same salon only back to back that morning and didn't even know it. We all hugged like were old friends and I got this sweet picture for my new friendships God gave me. Thanks Lord.

Titus 2 Tuesday

Welcome to another edition of Titus 2 Tuesday's where I express another women who have touched my soul.

We became members of the North Groesbeck Church of Christ in May of 2003. WOW what a church. It was a Wednesday night,I felt like it was a family reunion. I was greeted with a welcome and a hug by a lady named Jannice. She made us feel right at home, and has continued to do that everyday since. You could call her & her husband Charles the welcome wagon. Jannice battled breast cancer and survived. She inspires me because I NEVER EVER saw her get down, blame God, or complain. ALL I saw her do was rejoice because she knew God was going to heal her. She never doubted. That is the faith I strive for right there. Love you Jannice.

My next sweet friend who I love to death is Heather G. She happens to be Jannice's daughter in law. Heather is a giver. I can call heather in a heartbeat and she will do whatever she can to help me, without question.Heather inspires me because she wants to make everyone happy and get along and I really should be more like that in my own life. So Heather you inspire me to be a better friend and a more giving person. You so ROCK!!!!!

Up next but not last on my list by no means is Pam W. She's my spiritual counselor, yes we all need one of these. I always have strange God questions and she does her best to help find the answers. She never thinks I am odd or weird even though sometimes I am.She is the one I look to for advice, someone who will listen and thinks before she speaks. I love that about her. She makes me want to imitate her and be a better person for others. I so love this girl.

I have so many other women who are well deserved to be on my list and they are on it but I can only blog about so many each week. To all my friends and church ladies, you mean the world to me and you never know how big or small of a thing you may do that will impress and inspire me. You never know when someone else is paying attention so imitate Jesus, you can't go wrong there. Happy Titus 2 Tuesday can't wait to read everyone elses.
