God's Humor

Sometimes I wonder,"what must God be thinking?" He ask me to jump head first into situations and gives me a clear picture of what is going to happen, then He flips it all around and the out come isn't at all like you had it pictured.Then to top that off it's like He ask me to step plum back????????

Sometimes I get confused on what He wants from me but one thing is very clear. No matter the journey or road He has me go down if I am faithful to just do it,trusting in Him and follow His lead, He always blessed me in the end. Sometimes you just gotta step out of the boat and have enough faith to get your feet wet. AMEN!

Where do I start?

First and foremost, I have some AMAZING friends.Without them I can would be a little frazzled. They have great sets of ears for listening and a great discernment from God to answer some questions I have had, and listen when I vent.Just wanted to give them a shout out for being what God has called them to be.Love ya PH,PW,KJ.

I finished my Esther Bible study it was amazing, I learned so much. If you haven't done a in-depth Bible study of Beth Moore I highly recommend it. I am going to start Daniel soon.

Grandma has had her meds changed and that has been a slight challenge. She is a diabetic and unless you are one or control the meds of one you have no idea how crazy the body works.Needless to say we have had a few ups and downs with it. God has given me new patience in this area.....Thank you Lord.

Kids, well not much new there except the youngest decided he didn't know how his cell phone fell out of his pocket on workday down at the baseball field so it got left out in the rain............coach found it.Got a new phone today lucky for that boy his contract was due and we got a new phone for free, BUT he will be suffering a few consequences for his actions.The oldest son just works all the time and loves what he does. Dirt & farming. I knew that was what he would do from the time he could crawl out the door and eat it.

Hubby- I have the most amazing husband on God's green earth. Kyle hasn't done anything special,bought me any crazy outrageous gifts, he just loves me and to watch him grow deeper into the Lord is a sweet sweet thing.

Work- things are back up and running. We will have our new website up and going in a few weeks. So excited. Presenting an abstinence program in Quanah high School for the next 4 weeks. Love doing Worth the Wait with kids.

Life is busy, ready to slow down .......But baseball here we come.

Email what a great tool. I was sent the following thoughts from a dear friend by email. I am not sure who wrote it but I intend to find out, but I couldn't wait to share it with you first. I feel like  it is talking about the way I fell right now. So enjoy.

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.’ Heb 12:28 When I started sharing my reflections on God’s Word back in early September of 2009 I was following God’s lead. I had a clear sense that I should let people look over my shoulder at the conversation I am having with God. And I have really stuck to this, making sure that I am not writing for an audience, trying to entertain, keep people’s interest, but just sharing what God is showing me and being really honest about that process. And something beyond my thinking has happened, in five months more than 45,000 people are signed up to receive my reflections. I cannot comprehend this, seriously, I am nothing special, no great preacher or well known evangelist, or some famous actor, I am just some aussie guy following God’s lead, seeking to come into the presence of God. Speaking of which, what is this presence of God? It is about God and me being really close, that He is all over my life, in every part: affecting my relationships, my thoughts and my decisions. And in being close to God I feel the Holy Spirit guiding and counselling me, encouraging and energising me, and it is so amazing! I am getting closer to God through reading the Bible, tons of prayer and facing up to my sin. Bible reading for me isn’t about reading for 10 minutes once in a while, but about immersing myself in the Word. I spend anywhere between 1-2 hours (sometimes more) reading, praying, reflecting, seeking God’s guidance and then writing. And every day God reveals something new and amazing. My desire is to come into the presence of God, to draw near to Him, to be intimately influenced by Him every moment of the day. And in reading His Word I find myself being drawn towards Him. The Hebrews reading above says that I am to be thankful for all that God does in my life and I am!! And it instructs me to worship, which I discovered in the greek actually isn’t so much about singing, but serving. And that is a key challenge for me, how to serve God? Lord I offer you my energy, my intellect – all that I am, I offer it to you. Lord show me how you want me to serve you. Amen. How is God calling you to worship, to serve Him?

Careful what you ask for !!!!!

I have been so hungry latley......not for food. I ask God a few weeks ago to give me a hunger for HIS word. Well He did. I have a Bible study of Esther going and almost finished, I am preparing for the youth classes, and I started Beth Moore's new book So Long Insecurity which has an online study each week on her blog. I am thinking I can fit a few more things in right???? I can't stay out of my BIBLES   yes Bibles I have tons of them. I'm not bragging here, I just wanted to say if you want something and you don't see a way ask God for it. He has given me this hunger to go deeper in His word. It is so cool what you see through God's eyes on those pages.

We struggles finiacial this month with a huge bill and a broke car.........I prayed for God to help ease our burden, not get me OUT......He did. and when He does why are we so amazed. God is sooooooo BIG. I do let Him out of the box but I have realized HE is bigger than I can imagine.

I am headed on  a Walk to Emmaus retreat in November. I am asking for prayers. I know God has something great for me there and satan will do whatever he can to block that path so please pray.

If you haven't signed up for Beth's new book club read do it now. Starts Thursday the 11th. I am so excited.

Went to Parents Day at  my son's high school.  Can you believe he actually picked out my clothes for me??? He wouldn't let me wear any high heels, no mini skirt or no skin tight shirt....WHAT......had to settle for plain shirt, boots and jeans. Sad to tell him thats what I wanted to wear anyway love my boots. (I don't own those other things)  We went to all 8 periods 25 minutes each. Very fast pace. I was told by my son when we left one class Mr. ^%$##%  never acts like that he was nice today........all and all it was fun ,except for the flashbacks of high school, and some people I haven't seen since then that now have kids......

Got the painting/facelift done at the Center. As in COMPLETED.......I am so ready to get this office back to NORMAL......whatever that is....you know things in their right place with a little spring cleaning too.

Got the car fixed.....thank you Lord.

What else, oh yeah be praying, I am going on a  Walk to Emmaus in November. I am so excited about this . Can't wait to see what God has in store for me .......


Having a BLAST co-teaching the youth at church. They are the coolest bunch of kids...... So neat when in the middle of their day they stop to say hey pray for me I got????? this going on. I love to watch young people grow in the Lord.

Updated as far back as I can think...so not far.
Baseball season is about to kick off so look for all the wonderful post on that with tons of pictures I am sure.

The plan???

I have started to teach the YOUTH in our church with another teacher on Sunday & Wednesday. It has been a God send. Aren't all moments like that? God has been urging me back to that class for a long time, I just decided this time to listen. What a BLESSING they have been to me.

Wednesday night we took a little test a 60 QUESTION test. It was on finding your spiritual gifts. It was amazing because I knew what kinds of gifts these kids had but to see them discover the things God has given them was so awesome.We had a great mix of gifts from, LEADERSHIP, EXHORTATION, MUSICAL-VOCAL, MERCY, GRACE, SERVICE, FAITH, ADMINISTRATION. Thats  just a few. They had scripture to read along with their gifts and WOW....some hadn't picked up a BIBLE in months maybe years.

It is so cool when you get a text that said I have read all my scriptures and I love them. I texted back and said that's because they were written for you.......love these kids, have I said that aready?

I have had a few difficult times in the last few weeks and god gave me this verse: Proverbs 3:5

Trust in the Lord with all your heart

and lean NOT on your own understanding

I shared this with the kids as their lives get busy and crazy and they may not understand things.

I have asked God to give me a hunger for His word......let me tell you sisters and brothers(I have a few male readers) Careful what you pray for.........I can't stay out of my BIBLE, I am doing a study of Esthers, then HE has me in the book of Daniel which is AWESOME.....Proverbs, John, Joel....the list goes on. Didn't know I could have a love for the word like this.......I must depart and go read some more, who knows what I will understand today, and what plan HE will have for me......
