We are a rough looking bunch as you can see....
Just kidding! This is my cousin's and my sister next to me
at Ma's memorial service. It was a sweet, sweet day!

Prayer

As my sweet husband and I held hands to pray
for someone that we love dearly,
these words came out of his mouth.

We know
God doesn't call the qualified,
He qualifies the called!

I loved that and how true it is.

Grandma

Melba Ray Brown
Born 1/4/31
Gone to be with the Father 2/11/11

What Grandma Was To Us

She was the backbone of this family.

She was the listener

The consoler

The counselor

The caregiver

And at times the worrier

Everyone of us from time to time

Leaned on her

She was a good friend

a good wife, mother and sister, and especially

a good grandmother.
She did what she could and sometimes

what no other person could or would.
She cooked, cleaned, and raised at

Sometime or another her grandchildren.
She was a giver

And thought of others before herself
There were very few times she ever told

Us grand kids NO
She was a pleaser

And a peace keeper
NO ONE MESSED WITH MA!

She loved us all and you knew it without her saying it

She showed it with her actions

She was a quilter

And that was what she loved to do

She loved quilting as much as she loved

Us, but not more than she loved the Lord

She was an avid reader

She kept books stacked around her bed, and night stand

We love her and will miss her,

But her strength will stay with us

What shoes no one can fill

What a roll model she was

And continues to be.

We can all learn by the example she set.

A few favorite things

Not great pictures but I so LOVE the coffee mug I got for Christmas from my friend K
It holds 3 cups. Yes it is coffee, I know it looks like milk.
I am a heavy creamer, what can I say?
.
And the HANDMADE wallet is from my son, also from Christmas.
Just fun things I am enjoying this cold snowy day.
How about you? What are your favorites?

The Visitor

This is Rosco, the eldest son's pet or child however you want to think about it.
He arrived at my house last night along with the blizzard.

He is a visitor because Gerry is moving out hopefully the next few weeks
so he is NOT staying.
He also is NOT my grand dog.
NOT having that name either.

He's funny, fat, and I do love puppy breath.

He can come back and visit.........later
