Vaca

As part of my boys Christmas we took a short little vacation. We went to RED RIVER NM to ski. It was awesome. The first morning was -4 do you see the minus sign there??? It didn't feel that cold. We had a blast. I will tell you more details later but leave you with a few pictures.

I have become

It is official!!!! I am not a LATTE girl, I'm a vanilla latte girl, I'm a vanilla carmel latte girl, but really I am a mocha latte girl. Let me again give a huge thank you to my friends Dawn and Charla for this amazing experience.

I have NEVER been a coffee drinker til I was exposed to latte's. Is latte's coffee??? They seem to good to taste anything like coffee.

See, I have to really doctor it up, I call it girlie coffee,I add everything from spenda, to rich flavored creamers. Where has this creamer been all my life, why hadn't anyone sat me down to say you don't know what your missing????

I hope this morning you find yourself with a great cup of coffee.

And for anyone looking for a great regular coffee, 8 o'clock brand is awesome, and way cheaper than my latte's. Have a great Monday

I have always prayed for my future daughter in laws, this one here just might be one of them. I thank God everyday my boys find good Christain girls who love the Lord. This one does, and I love her and her sweet parents.They are doing a great job with this one. They are so stinkin cute.

Homecoming 2009

It is here.....

It is here the day I thought I would be excited for, well in some regards I am, but in others I am sad. My first born turns 18 today. He is very legal. Legal to vote, legal to be drafted,legal to sign a binding contract,legal to be accountable for his actions and go to MAN prison.

Ok it isn't all bad news here. I am excited for him, he gets to do alot of good stuff too, like pay his own insurance, pay his own cell phone bill, and pay for everything else. 18 is a milestone.He is so sweet at times , towering over me all the time. He is my first born, my first son, my first mothers love.

He was born Dec. 15th 1991 in Wichita Falls General Hospital. 13 hours of long labor, thank goodness for drugs, the bundle of joy weighed 10lbs. 11 oz. HUGE........no c-section. I was one tough cookie. Funny how all that pain disappears after you hear that first cry.I will never forget that day, the nurses called him moose. I shared a room with another mom. She had the tiniest baby in the nursery at 5lbs. We held each others babies and thought that was so funny.

Today I have another man living in my house, not a child. He will soon graduate and move on. So the next chapter of the book begins. I will leave you with these nice photos, that he will kill me for.It's what parents do.Besides there are only a few rare time where I can get him to let me take a picture.So here is my best of the best of my first born.(didn't have time to dig through the baby book)

That is thank GOD it's Friday. This week has been crazy, it's was like get back from OKC and hit the ground running. With church, work, Christmas party, sick kid, sick me. Today just might be a better day.

My oldest turns 18 next week......what do you buy an 18 years old??? Everything he has suggested is WAY out of my price range. He would love a new truck, not happening, a custom cowboy hat, not happening, so I am looking for suggestions. I offered a IPOD nope he didn't want that? I thinking the boy will get a cake and cash......I just wanted his 18th to be memorable....maybe if just for me.

I think we were all in bed by 8:30 last night.A much needed rest for us all. Everyone was in such a good mood this morning . I think going to bed early is the key. That's about all I have swarming in my head right now besides Christmas shopping and Christmas with 3 sets of family, not including Movie night at the church. Come on January.............

WHAT a weekend

I had the HONOR or going with my two best girls to OKC for a Deeper Still conference which included Beth Moore, Kay Arthur and Priscilla Shirer........ WHAT A GOD FILLED WEEKEND. I am still on cloud 9 and thinking I'll just hop on to cloud 10. These women know the Word of God let me tell you. It was nice to go to a place where the speaker wasn't pushing their books. They taught straight from the WORD OF GOD.

The girls and I felt like we were the Clampetts going to the big city. Our hotel was so nice 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms...it was awesome. Can I get am AMEN for VALET parking....soooooo worth the money. Never had to park the car, never had to load a bag. It was sweet.

Took my makeup, put it on, cried it off. When I say cried it off I mean from the first moment I heard the PRAISE and WORSHIP team fire up. I wasn't wiping my face with tissue to catch the tears I was wiping my neck......I had my hands in the air as long as I could.I felt like Moses, and needed Aaron to hold my arms up for me.Travis Cottrell was awesome

I am not a coffee drinker I want to be, just don't like the taste of it. WELLLLLL the girls corrupted me to Carmel Vanilla lattes extra fat please....love it. Thanks DAWN. So home now and trying to recreate that first taste of coffee.......still trying. LOL

I can't tell you what GOD has done for me this weekend but it has been mind blowing, & life changing. I can't tell you because it would take to much space and the Internet around the world would shut down.

One thing GOD did say to me was............"READ MY WORD, THE ANSWERS ARE ALL IN THERE". I spend WAY to much time reading other books and not enough time dedicated to my LORD'S word. Got a new BIBLE to add to my collection of versions and I can't keep my face out of it. Its' the Amplified version.

Believe it or not after church the hubby took me to the deer blind(no luckwith a deer yet) but I read my BIBLE for a solid hour before I ever looked up......GOD was feeding me with milk and honey...so good.

This was awesome. The glass payne's were outside the confrence at lunch, and all 10,000 women had a chance to write their sorrow, concerns and prayer request on it. After that a man painted on the back a huge tree branch that ended in the hand of God.(you had to see it) but it said YES HE CAN!!! and we left all out worries to GOD........so good.

This was one of the many worship times, we sat at the top so we could spread out and have more room, but you can see the mass of women lifting up and glorifying the LORD. So moving.I am so filled and so blessed.

Practice What you Preach

My Sweet Hubby has the sermon this next Sunday at church. He has been preparing some and can't seem to land on a topic. I said "well 2 Sundays ago the lesson was over what the guy had been studying in his daily reading. That's just what he used".I also said," if I had to give a lesson what would I do it over, I haven't been studying myself". So point is to take the plank out of my own eye before getting the speck out of your brother and in this case the hubbies.


I am SOOOOO EXCITED. Me and the girls(Charla & Dawn) Friday are headed to the big city OKC that is for a Beth Moore conference. I can not wait to get re-enegized and re focused and worship with MY HANDS IN THE AIR. sorry don't get to do much of this in my church. I do love my church but we are a little more refrained from that you might say.

Headed to Lubbock today for I hope will be Gerry's last appmt.That is a long road.

Got back to working out again...hard to get back once you stop. Got my Christmas cards out they look so cute. Well I am out of thought so good night.
