Computers

I just love computers(NOT) I have been fighting with my sons laptop for three days. I had to download, upload, and call tech support.......................jeezzzzz......It is a laptop that is a few years old and we only use it for homeschooling purposes.I am about ready to chunk it and go by a desktop.

OK not I can breath I got all that out, I am calm now, well working on it. You know when you spend lots of money on things you just want them to last and work......This is the last year we will have to download school curriculum on it. It is Gerry's senior year....oh my first born will graduate in December, and turn 18 as well. Big adjustment coming for momma I can see now.

Went to aerobics yesterday for the first time in months.....I was already sore from some new moves my hubby wanted me to try......needless to say I am in a full body soreness now, but as they say no pain no gain right...

Now tonight I am treating myself to a little massage, I hope it doesn't hurt, I am already so sore.....what was I thinking???

This stinkin laptop is working as we speak(thank you LORD) guess I better get back to that. Happy Thursday.

You just gotta laugh

As most of you know I am caring for my sweet grandma. She lives right next door so it is nice to have her right there. Today we had a follow-up Dr. appmt. We go early so I can get her in and out, as to not tie up my whole day waiting in a clinic. So I called her at 7:30 to make sure she is up. She assured me she was up, had a shower, dressed and ready to go. I told her ok but I wasn't leaving til 8am........ok

I get her loaded in the car(that is a chore) we drop Matt off at school and head to the clinic. I asked her in the car how she was feeling...........she said oh I'm ok........great......We finally get back to see the Dr. and He asked her how she was feeling....HOLY MOLY...she said I feel horrible, I am so dizzy I can't see straight, I was up all night , didn't get a bit of sleep. He says oh sorry to hear that, we will do some blood work and see whats going on.........This takes a while because his sweet nurse is busy with another patient.

So we are waiting, waiting, waiting, and the whole time granny is acting fine and saying I wish she would hurry up I am hungry and have things to do................You just gotta laugh.

If I feed into granny's needing attention she is horrible, but If I say well you know we all have bad days, she says I know, I am glad I am not too bad.

I hope I am a good old person.......

Debating & Deciding

I have been debating, I just don't know......I feel I need to close my facebook account. It takes alot of time and no I don't farm on it. Another reason is well I know too much about what everybody else is doing. It leaves no room for the person you imagined them to be. There are just some things I wish I had never known ,well read. I think I have just made my mind up, saying fairwell to FB. I can blog, and be with my own thoughts.

I also have been pressured by a higher being, yes He would rather I be reading His words instead of everyone elses. It has been great and I have made new friends, but not made the time for Him.......not condemning those who stay on...this is just my own personal journey I must take.

My thoughts God's Word

As I think about our community I get sad. So many families not together anymore. I have been praying about this the last few days and God revealed to me last night while praying at church theses words. "Greater is He than is in me than he that is in the world"(1 John 4:4)" I am greater than these problems and those people have to choose me, walk with me and you will never be alone". I love hearing God speak to me, no matter the words or instructions I am always at peace with it.

I have learned a little more patience during this time of caring for my grandmother, and I really have been into His Word much more........did you know every time you open the Bible no matter where you open it you learn something new and it is just what you need? I am certain when those covers are closed that book mutates around. Kyle & I are reading the book of John and I have read it many times but I am telling you last night I found things I have never read before it seems.

These last few weeks has drawn me closer to Him, wow what an experience.

On a lighter note, Matthew started 2 a days with football practice and loves it, Gerry started a new job on Poole's Farm, and Kyle and I have gotten even more closer, going to the farm and spending time together. Nothing else real exciting to report.....catch you later.

Farm thoughts

We have been going to the farm alot lately, which I LOVE.Riding four wheelers, setting up feeders and cameras, looking at nature.

This is a imprint of Kyle's granddads initials....thought that was cool. It's on an old building that has fallen down.
HOLY COW
We aren't supposed to have cows on this land.....hmmmm. You guest it the neighbors cows got hungry with all the deer feeders going off and all our green grass. But look at that sweet baby.

She never took her eyes off of us once.....I love cows.

Matthew at the top of the canyon dodging my camera....that white thing in the picture is his back....so see gotcha anyway....
Stay tuned, I am going to be doing a giveaway soon...what would you comment to enter ???? Not sure what to give away yet...any suggestions??

Where has the day gone......haven't had time to do a post for today but I will have one up tomorrow. Please come back.........

We had a blast at the farm on Saturday
Here is my"keeley picture" Only I only got the smudges in my mirror
Yes a T-post driver...I tried, I helped but look at those muscles. I am so proud of all that sweat I have donated to the gym this whole year.

Loading feeders to take down in the canyons
My cute boots, I love these things.

Baby coyote, but he was moving too fast for my camera, he is the brown blurry thing.

Kyle snapping pictures....he's so funny, standing behind the camera while i worked.

ok he did work some........

Barns, windmills, cow lots, surrounded by nature...I loved it

Kyle's bow practice.......he hit one arrow into the other....not many can do that.

Make Friends With Whatever’s Next - by Max Lucado

Embrace it. Accept it. Don’t resist it. Change is not only a part of life; change is a necessary part of God’s strategy. To use us to change the world, he alters our assignments. Gideon: from farmer to general; Mary: from peasant girl to the mother of Christ; Paul: from local rabbi to world evangelist. God transitioned Joseph from a baby brother to an Egyptian prince. He changed David from a a shepherd to a king. Peter wanted to fish the Sea of Galilee. God called him to lead the first church. God makes reassignments.
But, someone might ask, what about the tragic changes God permits? Some seasons make no sense…do such moments serve a purpose?
They do if we see them from an eternal perspective. What makes no sense in this lie will make perfect sense in the next. I have proof: you in the womb.
I know you don’t remember this prenatal season, so let me remind you what happened during it. Every gestation day equipped you for your earthly life. Your bones solidified, your eyes developed, the umbilical cord transported nutrients into your growing frame…for what reason? So you might remain enwombed? Quite the contrary. Womb time equipped you for earth time, suited you up for your postpartum existence.
Some prenatal features went unused before birth. You grew a nose but didn’t breathe. Eyes developed, but could you see? Your tongue, toenails, and crop of hair served no function in your mother’s belly. But aren’t you glad you have them now?
Certain chapters in this life seem so unnecessary, like nostrils on the preborn. Suffering. Loneliness. Disease. Holocausts. Martyrdom. Monsoons. If we assume this world exists just for pregrave happiness, these atrocities disqualify it from doing so. But what if this earth is the womb? Might these challenges, severe as they may be, serve to prepare us, equip us for the world to come? As Paul wrote, “These little troubles are getting us ready for an eternal glory that will make all our troubles seem like nothing” (2 Cor. 4:17 CEV).
