Final day of vacation

The day started grand with a time of worship at church.....then on to a nap in the afternoon. Well some of us napped some of us were kept up by the phone ringing!!!!!!

Then off to a charity softball game and then the rain and lightning came. So home again. It has been a lazy day and that is fine with me....

So long vacation, I will see you in December on the mountain slopes.


Hello work week, hope you made it without me ok.

Vacation day 6

Where did the week go?????  Took a flying trip again to Altus this morning with NO MAKEUP, not even a brush went through my hair, and got a new toy. A new mini cultivator. She is so cute and can dig dirt like nobodies business. Love it!

So for the rest of the day I stay in the garden, playing in the dirt. Planted a few more veggies, watered, now off to BED....church in the morning and my hubby is off WORK to go with us....Loving that part.


So sad tomorrow is the last day of vacation and the list is already made of things to get done before we head off to another work week.

So long vacation so nice to have seen you for a short time anyway.........

Vacation Day 5

To start the day I finally got to sleep in til 8 WOOHOO....... Kyle was up early and out the door for the whole day doing a little side work......more work on this vaca?????

I left the house at 9:15 for my morning sonic COKE and headed to Quanah to lead Bible Study.We have one every Friday for the summer. That was amazing and so good for me. We are studying Romans 12 with DVDs from Chip Ingram. So good!

Got home took Grandma to Wal-Mart, unloaded her and the groceries. Took a little rest. By then it was time for my sister  & niece to arrive. It was good to see them, they only gets to these parts about twice a year.

We dug out Ma's picture box. That is always alot of fun......looks at tons of pictures and made copies of a few.

Left and went to the park at 10:30 at night to get the son who is watching a baseball game ....got home and went to bed. The end of day 5......

ps I am already on day 6 and very tired........

Vacation day 4

Today was GREAT....I did almost nothing til 3:00 then got ready for a baseball game(double header).

The game was good Matt hit really well and pitched and the best part is we got home before midnight.

The other son was home before then too. Nice to see him in person.....


On to day 5..... I do know that I will have to water that garden for sure tomorrow,man vacation is going fast!

Vacation day 3

This day was very uneventful....worked at the best little clothing stoe in town all day as I do every Wednesday.I know I am on vacation right? Came home and decided to stay home (no church). My grandmother needs more care right now and I left her alone the night before for Matthew's baseball game, which we got home at 12:15 amSo I was tired.

We watered the garden and sat on the back porch til the bugs ran us in. Nice evening

And PS my SWEET, HANDSOME, KIND, LOVING husband took my car while I was working and had it detailed from top to bottom, inside & out. It looks brand new. hate to drive it anywhere......


On to Vaca day # 4

Vacation Day # 2

This was the day that was going to be grand.............wellllll..........It started with my 4AM wake up.
Something warm and wet running up my leg....Yes I was asleep,now wet and awake. You see our sweet dogs sleep with us and they are starting to get older, and well I guess sissy's bladder couldn't wait.
I got pee'd (not sure how to spell that word) ON BY MY D.O.G.

So fresh sheets on the bed for tonight.YEAH!!!!

Got lots of organizing done, Kyle is building stairs to grandma's back deck finally pictures to come.

Sweet Hubby is taking my car tomorrow to get it completely detailed...can't wait to have a clean, shiny car.

Matt has been away at baseball camp sort of??? That's another story, so he is on his way home as I type and we will finish out this day with a double headed baseball game in Altus....

On the road again.......and yes we have tools in the truck now...if your lost read yesterdays post

Having a moment

Today started off with a nice relaxing trip to Altus,OK for some supplies.One thing lead to another and we had a blowout on the trailer on the way home. Luckily our very talented, smart, organized with all his tools son came to the rescue.We were stuck. You see Kyle got a new truck and he had not yet put all his handy dandy man tools in it. We had no jack, no spare, no nothing....Son rolls up with compressor, jack, and we had the tire off in just a few seconds. Talk about service.

We were loaded with lumber and hated to leave it, so we moved it to the pickup...which now I am thinking WHY did we take a trailer????? Go 20 miles get a new tire, come back, put tire on, RELOAD the lumber back into the trailer because the trailer wouldn't turn with a tailgate down........ then back to return all the tools to our son in case he needed them....farmers always needs their tools........

It happened!!!!!!!!! My sweet son said hey wanna go for a few turns with me in the tractor while your here???? Me- I guess so. He was planting cotton, using a GPS system...and the computer did it all for him, so sweet. That was one of the COOLEST rides and spend some time with my son.....wish I had my camera......Got done with that then headed home.

Got home and had to UNLOAD the trailer again.......So I am saying I have had my workout for the day.....

I got 2 great boys, I would call them night and day.

Very opposite of each other, that's why I love'em

Just wanted to take the time to not only say that but type it so one

day when they read this published novel

of mine, I hope they look back

and love their crazy momma just as much!

Not bad for the first time

Well a few days ago I got inspired by the wonderfully talented

Pioneer Women.

She had her recipe of homemade tortillas.

They looked so good, and I have always wanted to try.

I got the guts up to do it and taaddaa!!!!!

Their not pretty but they tasted great!

I have none left, hubby has eaten them with every meal I think.

 I pretty proud of myself!
