Saturday's

This is what we do most Saturday's
Watch  the youngest son play baseball.
Below is buddy camp they had the day before. K-5th grade kids buddy with a high
school baseball player and learn the game. So cute and so fun to watch. The boys help train up the little ones.

The son warming up before the game.

I'd like to say this one was lifting holy hands unto the Lord,
but no. Still more warm up.

Catching a great play on 1st. not his normal position
and he had a great game.

Warming up before the big HIT

and FINALLY my favorite part of the whole thing

The team gathers together before each game in the field
and says the Lord's Prayer
Hearing this chant of large deep manly
voices brings a tear to my eye every-time
I hear the Lord's prayer......and it should.

the Words spoken straight from the mouth of Jesus
coming out of 15 yr old boys.
Love it!

I have NEVER read a book written in this style.
It truly is a life changer.

I'm still reading it, but had to say
"I HIGHLY recommend this book."
Get it for yourself, you will not be disappointed.

I would bet they tried it though?????? Sweet babies

Birthday surprise

Well the day came today that I thought would be a lifetime away....
I turned 40 today!  3/20/1971
I am excited and proud of that number
I have earned all my gray hair that I color promptly
and I have the BEST husband on the planet.

He took me to the Hotel Matador.
A old hotel redone from the 1900's
now a bed and breakfast
Not just any breakfast
fancy foods.

We stayed in the suite, which I am sad I didn't get more pictures of.
We are going back in just a few weeks
for our ladies retreat and I can't wait.

Enjoy the pictures of my home away from home for the night.
Peace, quiet, kid-less,and best of all
the hubby planned it and kept it a secret.
I was told to just pack a bag.

I love you Kyle Eddins
Forever and ever!!!

The long view of our room. It used to be an
old barber shop, so mirrors everywhere

The tub,need I say more?

 Bread pudding for breakfast
Happy Birthday to me!!!!!

I can't even tell you the fancy word for those eggs are but I can tell you WOW, you don't leave hungry.

My view of the entrance from the dining room table Morning sun rising......can't you just see the SON.

After our HUGE breakfast
Before our ride home for church.
Wish we could have stayed longer.
If you get a chance go see the girls in
Matador,TX
such a cool place not far from home.

And I didn't take a picture of it yet but I got the COOLEST
New Bible as a gift from the Hubby....Love it!

I struggle

We all struggle, but it is so nice when we cry out
to our Father and He answers us with exactly what we need.
He said to me

"Set your sails, as I will then move you.
In troubled times or storms, set your anchors in me."

Something I had to share

This was on a card to me from a life long sweet
dear friend, and well the words say it all.

From the first moment
when in the hidden place
that only God could see

He brought Life to you
and said "YES" to who you were
and all that you could be by His grace.....

He has been a father to you
even before your earthly father
saw the reflection of his image
upon your face.He put His arms
around you even before you knew
your mother's touch

He has cared for you as no one ever could.
He has known you with perfect knowledge
and kept you with perfect understanding.
He has loved you and drawn you to himself
with cords of everlasting love.

WHERE ARE YOU?

This caught my eye yesterday at the farm.
We need to headed up!
Heaven bound.If your not
Where are you?

This one is the sun, behind the clouds,
looks like rays of Glory to me!
This one just shows me how windy our roads can be.
But if you look hard enough you can see the markers
on the path so you can find your way home.

God always provides a way out of every trial
or struggle we have. You gotta look for Him.
Have a great Monday, and make a difference
in someone else's life today.

35 years is just a mist

Why, you don't even know what  will happen tomorrow.
What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little
 while and then vanishes.
James 4:14

35 years ago today my sweet earthly daddy was called home to my heavenly one.
June 25th. 1952
Gerry Wayne Brown
was given his first breath By God

March 1st.1976
God the father called for him home
and he breathed his last.

I was 4 at the time, just 19 days before I turned 5.
It took me along time to understand that I was not fatherless.
I have always had a Father. He never left my side or my presence.

He is Father, He has never left me, He has never forsaken me.
I have chosen many times to walk outside of His will for me,
but even then, He never left me.

Today instead of sadness, I celebrate.
My earthly daddy is in heaven.

When grandma past away just 17 days ago,
I sent a text to my closest and dearest friends
that she was gone to Heaven to be with the Father

The one text reply I will treasure,
said this....."I am so jealous of her".

I will never forget those words as long as I live.

The picture below is my parents with my sister and I
It was taken January 1976, 2 months before he went to Heaven.

Daddy there is no telling what you and God are doing today,
but I know it is incredible!
