Life is Good

You know life is always good when you let God control it.Seems He let me learn this lesson the hard way.
I have had a rough two weeks, but can look back now and see God's hand in all of it.What a blessing to see that. We don't always get to see it. Makes we wonder how people who don't know the Lord make it through life?

My prayer each and everyday is to ask God to use me as His tool, and He never disappoints....may not be what I thought but you know, this thing we call life isn't about us at all.......it's how we praise & glorify Him!

On a side note, I can't wait til Feb. 11th The hubby and I are going on a couples get away with some friends, ok alot of friends.....8 couples. Should be F.U.N. Just to get away with my sweet Kyle will be enough.

9 long days

It's been a long 9 days for my family.

Two weeks ago I made the decision to

put Granny in the nursing home.

This was the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life!

She needed to go and she needed the extra care.

I was called everyday for 5 days,she needed me.

Broke my heart, some days she just doesn't even know where she was

but she knews I could figure it out for her.I TRY!

Somewhere in this 9 days my son cut his hand and we were in the clinic

getting stitches when the home called, granny's blood sugar was so high they couldn't read the meter

so over 500....normal is 120

Saturday, they called I was attending my dear friends babies funeral.

She lost her child 7 months in the womb, and had to deliver.

Lots of emotion this day. Sweetest service ever.

Hauled granny to the ER

She had pneumonia...stayed 4 days in the hospital

lots of family came, pulled 12 hr. shifts with her

We thought this was it, she was going to see the Lord.

She pulled her IV's out and everything else

because you see she thought they were out to get

her and stealing her clothes, and I was protecting them.

She got to go back to the home yesterday and I left that girl playing BINGO

I went home made all the calls on updates

then was in bed by 7:30

sweet husband insisted I rest, Love that man

He has been by my side or taking care of things

for 9 days.......

Somethings you just gotta laugh through.

Don't mistake this post as complaining, God is at work I know for sure.

Just sharing the whirlwind of the last

9 days and I left out half of it.......

So thankful my boys have stepped to the plate and helped out

me and around the house.They know when mom's about to blow!

 GOD IS WHO HE SAYS HE IS!

I WILL PRAISE HIM THROUGH THIS STORM!

80 years

I am blessed to have my grandparents living next door to me.

January 4th, 2011

Melba Brown- grandma turned

80 yrs young

We had fun with a birthday dinner, roast and all the trimmings,

and a strawberry shortcake for birthday cake.

She was pleased that I didn't put 80 candles on the cake.

I assured her they wouldn't all fit. We laughed.

I also told her about a SWEET friend who did that for me on my 35th.

We were camping and she put all 35 candles on the cake and the

 smoke detector went off like we were a blaze.

My grandma laughed so hard at that story and I will never

forget that Birthday.(thanks HG)

Now the fun part. I was busy making the evening special

so the hubby snapped all the pictures for me.

I was very surprised by one when I uploaded them

but I had to add it because well it's just plan

FUNNY, and I Love that he loves me!

Go ahead laugh. I did!

Happy birthday grandma.

As I read many other blogs about what they plan to change this year, I ponder.......
Alot of you say, I am going to put God first from now on.....We have been taught this. I have taught this to my clients.

But really if you think about it. If you put God first then He is done for the day and you can check Him off our list. RIGHT?

God should be, IN ALL,
 THROUGH ALL
,BY ALL,
ON ALL,
UNDER ALL
 everything we do.

Ok Belinda how do I do that????? Meditate on God's Word all day, pick one verse and really think about it. Remember God see everything your doing,even those ugly thoughts you just had. To me it is a mind thing. You have to choose to be with God every moment of the day.He's always there He never leaves. A matter of fact He holds on to you when you just want to be let go! He is God.

Your not promised to have a blessed non-problem life. You are promised that you can walk in freedom . So I encourage you to get on the right road,it's a road not traveled much you may not see many on it , but it is the coolest road you'll ever find.

I pray that whoever reads this dear Lord, that you give them a hunger for your Word like never before. Now go open that Bible.
