My Baby is 14 today

My sweet Matthew turns 14 today. Where has the years gone. Just yesterday he was at Mrs. Angie's preschool, now he is headed to high school. This time next year he will be driving.He will kill me when he sees the pictures I have posted but that is one of the perks of being a parent.

Date Night & Recital

Finally a DATE NIGHT.

We went to the movies it was fun to just get away.

I am late posting this because in a few short days it will be date night again, but it just may be at a baseball game.

Matthew on Sunday at his annual piano recital. It did perfect.His fingers are so light I don't think they even touched the keys. We are very proud of him.

Titus 2 Tuesday's

Tuesday is dedicated to those we have been inspired from like in the scriptures of Titus 2. Go read it today.

Today I speak of my friend Susan. She is my counselor and my listener, my sholder to lean on.Quick overview of how wonderful God can make a person. Susan lost a child soon after giving birth, many years ago, then not long after her son left for college years later he was at a lake and had a accident and drown.

You talk about some strength, this woman has it. She will tell you she only gets it because of God and I know that to be true after loosing a child myself. She taught me to rely on God for everything because He is where it all comes from.

No matter your situation no matter how bad it is or how small you think it is are you relying on God? Do you ask God to help you with the big things because you can handle the little ones? I have started letting God help me with it all.......I sure am less stressed let me tell you. I have never felt a peace that felt this good. It all has to come from God.She has so much grace.

I only told you a small piece about my friend Susan, there is sooooo much more but you get the point. She really inspires me to grow and be a better lady for the Lord. This world is temporary folks.

Matthew after his braces were put on and before the soreness set in.

I wrote on Gerry's truck, Mom said wash me.....He is in Amarillo with friends today. He's gonna kill me when he see this. It's great being a parent.

We are headed out to Wichia Falls today for Matt's Orth appmt. He gets his braces today. He is a little excited I think. I promise I will post pictures of his pretty mouth as soon as we get back. I have to get some shopping in too you know. Can't wait to get to the book store.....

As May 11th passes again, I am wrapped up in my thoughts of our child in Heaven EMMA. I had a tubal pregnancy 2 years ago.........................(Amy H is so right this blogging is good therapy) ok back on track. They though I had passed the fetus(my child) and did a D &C, she was still in my tube. 2 days later I am bleeding internally the tube had ruptured. I got to ride in an ambulance to Lubbock, where I arrived in the best of care. The Dr. explained he would have to go in and remove both if my tubes, no more baby making or it could be critical. We were ok with that. In to surgery I go and I am really fixin to get to my point and the title.



As I am lying in a holding room for surgery ALONE.....not even a nurse.



I begin to pray. Lord I know any surgery has risk one being death. I am at peace and I am willing to go if it is your will. I have never been at more peace than at that moment. I hear a voice, yes the voice of God. He said.......I AM NOT DONE WITH YOU YET...............I will never forget those words the rest of my life. you ever slow down enough to here Him?



Some of you know I am director of a pregnancy crisis center, where I have the opportunity everyday to share the gospel with our clients. I have spoken many times at schools and conducted many abstinence programs. (sidenote-available to any schools) I have looked at life and what I do for God each day since then. Is He using you? He could if you slowed down to hear His voice. I urge all of you to pray that everyday God would use you to Glorify His name...........



This earth is just temporary, what will your legacy be? I want to get the gospel to as many as possible and God IS USING ME...............

Titus 2 Tuesday's

Using Titus 2 to post about women who have inspired us.
This week was a hard week and I struggled with who has inspired me.I have so many to choose from once I sat down to think about it. So I decided to ask God which to use. He said"Sharla M" so Mrs. Tippett you'll have to tell her to read these because she isn't into the blog scene.Thanks.

Sharla M. Where do I start. God brought us together through a bad situation. You see Sharla had cancer, with not a good future. We took food to her family and we called and checked on them. Soon Sharla's cancer scare was over and she is cancer free. We started going to church together, hanging out , and were like 2 families put into one.We were joined at the hip you might say. People though we were sisters(which would have been ok) For a few years we never went a day with out speaking, now we go months. Funny how things turn out.

What inspires me about Sharla is she is VERY strong, in her mental strength and her faith God would heal her. She never doubted, even If I did. She kept our church running on faith. It was an exciting time, still is. She is the kind of person who if she can will do anything for you, she inspires me to be that way too.

My faith is stronger because of Sharla, so thank you Sharla for that.
I think God gives us friends in seasons and when we need them and then one day it changes. God always knows what we need when we need it.
Sharla and I will always be friends no matter the season . I love you girl.

As I was reading the Word the other night these verses stuck out.

Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down His life for his friend. 14 -You are my friend if you do what I command.
John 15:13-14

Look what our Father did for us. He sacrifices his own Son, and yet we act like we do.

Something else to ponder. Are we living in the kingdom, or the world? You can not do both.

It's time my fellow Christians to rise up and stand firm. The battle is already won.
